"Mrs Peregrine is very precious to Maple. They're inseparable ever since the moment she was born... or so, that's what I heard.
For various reasons, Maple adores her. She is very, very, very cute... She really is! Nobody understands how absolutely adorable she is! She also works so hard! Do you know how cute she is when she's picking the tomatoes? She's really lovely, unlike Mrs Peregrine...
W-WAIT! I-I was definitely not talking about Maple!
*clears throat* Anyway, it's really chilly today, so I'm going to Maple's place to spend my day with her. Mrs Peregrine will be there too, I guess. She should be lounging on the porch -- a boring, I mean, calm activity befitting her age and personality -- as usual.
Huh? She's not there? Where is she?
Is she taking a walk somewhere? In this almost-freezing weather?? Isn't she in a bad health condition recently? Going out in this weather is really bad for her, she could even be in danger! Oh no! Maple's precious family member is missing... I have to find her!"

E-ESPERA! E-Eu definitivamente não estava falando sobre Maple!
*limpa a garganta* Enfim, hoje está bem frio, então eu vou ir para a casa da Maple passar meu dia com ela. A Sra Peregrine também estará lá, eu acho. Ela deveria estar descansando na sacada -- uma atividade chata, quero dizer, calma que combina com sua idade e personalidade -- como de costume.
Huh? Ela não está lá? Aonde ela foi?

Where Is Mrs Peregrine? was made between November - December 2023, in participation of Nove Jam 2023 and Winter Jam 2023. Both are themed jams:
- Nove Jam 2023's theme is heroes/11: one of the main theme is Cali and Maple's heroic(?) act to look for poor Mrs Peregrine on a very cold day.
- Winter Jam 2023's theme is winter: it has a cosy, warm, and sweet slice-of-life story anyone can enjoy while you're bundled up by the fireplace (or any heater that you own at home). Cali and Maple also get to experience the first snowfall of the year in the story itself, how romantic!

I love cozy and wholesome content in general so playing this game was really heartwarming ; w ; the confession was so sweet I just had to stop for a while to cope with all the emotions I was feeling haha;;

Regarding the repetitive dialogue: you're correct in that. I understand it may look like so, I have a lot to learn to polish my writing more. >,<;; To fit within the time limit while at the same time making the work I enjoy, I could only choose between developing the characters vs. the plot (romance) itself. Both together were a bite too large for me to take at that moment, so I felt that focusing on the romance would be the most satisfying out of both. The story also spans for around half a day, 10(?) hours of time so it's a bit tricky to highlight the characters individually and like the romance at the same time. I agree that it could have been better if I had more writing experience and time.
I really want to learn and overcome these flaws, I hope the next projects will be better. ^~^

What a wonderful and heartwarming game! I was rooting for Cali the whole time, and when the confession scene happened it was so cute to see him get so flustered! The extra was so adorable as well, and I loved seeing the scenes from Maples perspective! I also wanted to mention that seeing Mrs. Peregrine in that shawl added ten years to my life. She's so cute, I love her!!!
The art-style and CG's were absolutely adorable (the hug scenes!!! I couldn't get enough!!!!) and the UI is so pretty!

I planned for multiple hugging scenes, and decided that instead of describing them, I drew them all! I'm glad that you love them, that makes the days of working on them felt well paid-off! ;w; The UI was my first shot at making one, I know that there are many potentials to make from it, but for this project it sufficed. It was really fun brainstorming about it too!

Such an adorable visual novel! The artwork is lovely, the characters are very cute, and the story is sweet, touching, and sentimental. I enjoyed the cozy autumn atmosphere of this VN. And I liked how the main menu changed after finishing the reading ^^
